Where parking is never quite free

Most of Dubai follows one rule: free after 22:00, free on Sundays, free on most holidays. These areas do not.

Paid around the clock

These charge 24 hours, 7 days. Sundays and public holidays included. The RTA leaves them out of every holiday free-parking notice.

Newly paid, but still free on Sundays

Once-free communities that now charge during the week. They still go free on Sundays and public holidays, like standard zones.

The short version

If you park at Al Khail Gate or in a multi-storey, assume you are paying, whatever the day. Everywhere else on this list, you pay on weekdays and park free on Sundays. The signboard at your spot has the final say.
